Alexandra Keddie
Alexandra Keddie is a writer, producer and actor based in Melbourne, best known for writing and creating THE HOUSEMATE with Gemma Bird Matheson. Alexandra also created her solo-show I SEE ME & MERYL STREEP, a loving homage to the world’s most celebrated actress through the eyes of a 17 year old girl with stars in her eyes and the world at her feet. I See Me & Meryl Streep has toured Australia since 2015 in sell-out, critically acclaimed seasons including at the Melbourne and Queensland Cabaret Festivals.
Alexandra has 10 years experience as an actor in theatre and television. Notably, she worked on Channel 10’s OFFSPRING, UTOPIA, HAMISH & ANDY’S TRUE STORIES, THE DR. BLAKE MYSTERIES and Melbourne Theatre Company’s HAY FEVER.
In 2020, Alexandra completed development through Screen Australia as development producer, writer and creator of her next series VERY AVERAGE GIRL (previously titled She Becomes Her) and has just finished production for THE POWER OF THE DREAM as Co-Writer, Co-Creator, Associate Producer and Executive Producer. Alexandra is also attached as Executive Producer on ME & HER(PES) which was funded for development and producer by Screen Australia.
Alexandra recently completed development through the ABC Fresh Start Fund as Writer/Creator/Producer on long-form comedy series SPREAD YOUR WINGS. Alexandra is a former student of RMIT’s Advanced Diploma of Professional Screenwriting and is represented by Sophie Jermyn Management. Alexandra is passionate about gender representation both on and off screen.
