Alexandra Keddie 

Alexandra Keddie is a writer, producer and actor based in Melbourne, best known for writing and creating THE HOUSEMATE with Gemma Bird Matheson. Alexandra also created her solo-show I SEE ME & MERYL STREEP, a loving homage to the world’s most celebrated actress through the eyes of a 17 year old girl with stars in her eyes and the world at her feet. I See Me & Meryl Streep has toured Australia since 2015 in sell-out, critically acclaimed seasons including at the Melbourne and Queensland Cabaret Festivals. 

Alexandra has 10 years experience as an actor in theatre and television. Notably, she worked on Channel 10’s OFFSPRING as the voice inside Nina’s head from seasons 4-6. Alexandra is also known for her work on UTOPIA, HAMISH & ANDY'S TRUE STORIES, THE DR. BLAKE MYSTERIES and Melbourne Theatre Company’s HAY FEVER. 

Alexandra recently completed development through Screen Australia as writer and creator of her next series SHE BECOMES HER and will soon go into production for THE POWER OF THE DREAM, which Alexandra co-created and will co-star in with Bobbie-Jean Henning. Alexandra is also attached as Executive Producer on both ME & HER(PES) and 50 SHADES OF BLACK (GIRL), with both being funded for development by Screen Australia and the latter selected to be part of the Digital Originals initiative through Screen Australia and SBS.

Alexandra is now in development, through the ABC Fresh Start Fund, with her series SPREAD YOUR WINGS, a comedy mockumentary series about community musical theatre. Alexandra is a former student of RMIT’s Advanced Diploma of Professional Screenwriting and is represented by Sophie Jermyn Management. The daughter of a gender theorist - Alexandra is passionate about gender representation both on and off-camera.
